Holiday Season Can Help Build Your Portfolio

With Hannukah, Christmas, and New Years all in the next month, you have the perfect opportunity to get creative and design a beautiful table or dessert station for a holiday dinner, work party, or gathering. Create an inspiration board to show the general style and atmosphere you want to design, then purchase, borrow, or rent the items needed to create the look. Use fabric, linens, tablecloths, napkins, plates, chargers, glassware, stationery, and flowers to create table designs at your home or for a party.

Take photos of your tables and decor designs to use in your event planning portfolio, on your blog, and on social media. If you had assistance from other event professionals, credit them when you use the photos.
