Invoice Clients for Payments
When you are expected to make a payment for any type of service, a business will mail or email an invoice to you. Your company should work the same way if you expect clients to pay on time. This may seem like common sense but many vendors and planners don’t send invoices to clients before an upcoming payment is due. When a client has an upcoming payment due, email an invoice at least two weeks prior with the amount due, your mailing address and the date due. Some vendors and planners use PayPal to send a money request which functions as an invoice.
Sending an invoice also shows that your company is professional business. If you don’t use a financial management software like Quickbooks or Freshbooks, you can download a free invoicing template from Microsoft and customize it with your logo and business information.
