6 Things to Do Now to Ensure January Bookings
The upcoming holiday season is the most popular time of year for couples to get engaged. What does that mean for wedding planners? January and February are key months for booking new wedding clients.
Take time to send out holiday cards to past clients and to your professional contacts. To get ahead of the holiday mail chaos, have your cards in the mail during the first week in December. If you don’t have any local events coming up, invite 3-5 of your favorite event professionals to join you for happy hour or for coffee. Read more in this post about how to network effectively.
Get your business name out there on the blogs of other event professionals and event venues in your area. Many photographers, venues, and florists would love to have a helpful guest post to share on their blog without having to write it themselves. When you write your post, be sure to include your name, what services you offer, and a link to your website. The guest post gets your business name on another website that engaged couples visit, shows your expertise, and gets you a link back to your website (good for SEO). Stuck on what to write about? Here are a few guest post topics:
What are you going to do this month to ensure engaged couples are finding you in January?
