Who Is Your Backup for Weddings & Events?
As professional wedding and event planners, we are the directors of the entire event for our clients. Many vendors rely on us to be at the wedding or event to lead the day and have answers to all of the questions.
What happens if you suddenly get very sick on the day of the event, have an accident, or something worse? Having a backup plan is also important if you are pregnant or have kids. When kids enter into our lives, the chance of becoming unavailable at the last minute increases because we are responsible for our kiddos in addition to ourselves.
Part of being a responsible event planner is having a backup plan just in case you are unable to attend an event for unforeseen circumstances.
To get started, create an “Emergency Plan” folder and let your spouse, a trusted employee, and a close friend know where it is and what it is. In an emergency, someone close to you will know where to find this folder and who to contact.
