What is your typical day like?
My typical day starts by 5 am with morning devotion; get exercised by 5:30 to 6:30 am and have some coffee before starting to check the list of all I have to do for the day, though I work from home.
I also take time out to have lunch with either my clients or my team; when I return from lunch, we communicate with most of our vendors to finalize pricing and work on all that needs to be worked on. I close by 4 pm, then go for site inspection, i.e., events and real estate sites, because I also do home construction and interiors.
When I’m done with the inspection, I make time for myself, family, and friends.
How did you get started in the industry?
I studied banking and finance at the university. After that, I decided to do something different, so I enrolled as an apprentice with an event and catering training, where I learned how to decorate and bake. I took another training on home construction and interior design before I decided to take a wedding planner certificate course by the Certified Wedding Planner Society.
I decided to start my business because I love events, and I have a passion for it.
What inspires you?
I draw my inspiration from good locations, social media, travel, ballroom, and some websites.
What are your favorite online resources for your business?
My favorite online resources are the Certified Wedding Planner Society, Bellanaija, The Wedding MBA, Association of Bridal Consultants, and Planners Lounge.
Aside from wedding and event planning, how do you spend your time?
I spend time visiting new places, trying new food, and spending time with some members of my family.
