What is your typical day like?

I recently quit my full-time HR job to pursue both of my businesses (yes, 2) full-time. However, I do have a part-time job that I work two days a week! Monday, Thursday, and Friday, I work about 8PM-4PM. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I don’t “work” after my part-time job, but I will take calls from 6PM-8:30PM! 

My work varies from day to day, but it typically starts with going through and responding to emails, catching up on bookkeeping/mileage, updating timelines, and any other prep work needed that week for weddings.

How did you get started in the industry?

In August 2021, my husband and I visited my brother, sister-in-law, and niece in Portland. My sister-in-law and I were having a conversation about my dream job – fast forward one month, and my wedding planning LLC was formed! I’ve always loved planning and weddings, but it never seemed like something I could do until I let go of the “I can’t do that” mentality. Not even 2 ½ years later, I am no longer working my HR job!

Aside from wedding and event planning, how do you spend your time?

My husband and I have 3 dogs, so we spend much of our time with them! We don’t plan to have any kids of our own, so our dogs are basically our children. 🙂 We also love traveling and attending concerts!
