Wedding Day Extras for Your Clients
One of my favorite things to do is surprise my clients with little extras over the course of their wedding day. Not only does it add a little extra special service from me, but it also makes them feel taken care of and more relaxed throughout the day. I have tried a variety of different extras over the last few years, but below are my favorites.
Breakfast/Lunch for the Wedding Party
I have found that many times the couple and their wedding party are so excited and busy getting ready that they forget to eat. Depending on the wedding day schedule, I like to provide either a light breakfast or lunch wherever they are getting ready. Not only is it a nice gesture, but I also know they have eaten something that day.
Beverages and Snacks
Another food option is to provide baskets full of snacks and beverages in each getting-ready area. If the wedding is later in the day and I know they are eating a meal with their friends and family, I like to do something like snacks. When couples first start working with me, they fill out an extensive survey that lists their favorite snacks, so I can provide those for them.
A Keepsake for the Bride and Groom
Depending on the level of service I have been hired for, I might do something extra special for the couple. Some examples would be custom hangers, embroidered robes, cufflinks, or a personalized picture frame. I always make sure it is not something they already have planned for themselves.
Surprise Element
Adding a surprise element is something that I have only done a few times for really unique clients. In my business, I have done special surprises for couples who had something planned and then had to cut it based on budget or extenuating circumstances. It is always something I know they wanted, but could not do themselves. For example, I had clients who wanted a sparkler exit but bought the wrong sparklers. I knew a past bride who had purchased way too many of the correct sparklers, so I purchased them and brought those to surprise my couple.
Late Night Hotel Gift
Finally, if the couple is staying at a hotel, I always have a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates delivered and waiting for them in their room with a congratulations note.
These little gestures really show my clients how much I care about them. They are always surprised and delighted by what I do for them. Happy clients = future referrals + great reviews.
